Saw The National at Riverstage. The sound wasn't great: a bit muddy and questionably mixed. But the band is so awkward and lovable, and their songs are so ridiculously good it doesn't even matter. And there were glimpses of perfection though in the quieter songs, eg I Need My Girl followed by This Is the Last Time gave me goosebumps.
This is their closing track, an unplugged, audience sing-along of Vanderlyle
Crybaby Geeks. :D. (Not the Brisbane show but it was like that pretty much).
(Try to get the two videos in sync. Failing that, the first one has better audio...)
